Abstract

The chapter discusses how geographers and religious studies scholars, despite their unawareness, have long worked closely when studying religion. By revisiting Mircea Eliade’s work on space and religion the author argues that the two fields have more in common than one might expect, and calls for an interdisciplinary study of ancient religions.
