This essay is about the psychologyof sociopolitical humour. First, letme assure you that writing orreading about humour does not killthe fun, although you may not laughout loud. By humour, I mean a jokeor a funny communication with asocial purpose clear to the audience– to provoke laughter and provideamusement.
