Abstract
The standard propositions of welfare gains from international trade and labour migration in the context of full employment models are well understood. Yet one of the central issues that affects countries, whether the host of source countries, is surely how a huge international movement of workers will affect the rate of unemployment in individual countries. In this paper, we adopt the simple one factor model of David Ricardo where labour is assumed to be the only factor of production.
