Abstract
Service-oriented architecture (SOA), web services, and service-oriented computing (SOC) have become prominent topics in the business world. Many companies are either implementing, considering, or have already implemented SOA projects, web services initiatives, or SOC adoption. A critical question for organizations is how to measure SOA success. Is return on investment (ROI) a suitable metric for evaluating SOA projects? What about intangible factors such as comparative advantage or competitive necessity? Additionally, considerations like agility, nimbleness, and responsiveness play a significant role. This research investigates various factors for measuring project success and employs a Delphi study to gather insights from a panel of experts on SOA success measurement.
