Abstract
Describes how the configuration of a three station serial keyboard assembly cell can be optimized using a combination of discrete event simulation modeling and experimental design techniques. Investigation based on a discrete event simulation model; Initial determination of optimum buffer sizes and number of pallets by factorial design.
