Abstract
This paper examines some weaknesses of transactions cost approaches to organizational analysis. Recent works have employed concepts from microeconomics without sufficient attention to their underlying logic. Analysis of transactions cost does have the potential to be a powerful technique, but only if set within the framework of more general organization theory.
