Description

Samantha Seah is a Librarian with the User Services and Experiences at SMU Libraries. She explores emerging digital technologies to support teaching, learning, and research initiatives. AI information literacy has been a topic of much interest to her since the boom of generative AI, leading to presentations at various professional sharing platforms in the region – such as Singapore, Thailand, and Taiwan. She also regularly conducts a self-developed workshop "When AI Goes Wrong" delving into how modern AI works and the ways in which it can fail to meet our expectations. She hopes to expand on these themes to help librarians and users practice critical thinking and better understand the questions we can ask when we choose to interact with AI.
