Global Media and Information Literacy Week is a UNESCO-endorsed observance, held annually from October 24 to 31, to promote Media and Information Literacy for all. This year’s theme, “Minds Over AI – Media & Information Literacy in Digital Spaces,” reflects the urgent need to equip individuals with the skills to navigate AI-driven information environments responsibly.
Media and Information Literacy empowers citizens to critically evaluate content, verify sources, and engage ethically with digital technologies—especially in an era of misinformation, deepfakes, and algorithmic bias.
