Description
Leo S. Lo is Dean of Libraries and University Librarian at the University of Virginia, Advisor to the Provost for AI Literacy, and Courtesy Professor of Education. He is Past President of the Association of College and Research Libraries. His work centers on AI literacy, information integrity, and workforce upskilling. He has led national studies of AI literacy among library workers and established the ACRL Task Force on AI Competencies. He has designed campus programs that teach practical and transparent AI use for librarians, advisors, and faculty. He speaks widely on responsible AI in learning and research and is author of the forthcoming book AI and the Future Workforce, a Reskilling Guide for Academic Libraries. Leo holds an EdD from the University of Pennsylvania and advanced degrees from UConn, Florida State, Hollins, and postgraduate studies in AI at the University of Oxford.
