Abstract
Crime, tort (civil wrong) and contract are the three core areas of law. Sometimes, they overlap; a wrong can be a crime and a tort, and could also involve a breach of contract. This book deals with the law of torts—a vast and incredibly complex subject. It seeks to give the reader a good idea of the contextual landscapes within which tort law resides, to provide a coherent overview of each tort or group of torts, and to critically examine the key complications and perplexities within the law. In six main parts, the author covers the torts in the areas of intentional interference with persons, negligence, torts relating to land, defamation, business torts and attributive liability.
