Abstract
This chapter discusses the various legal issues and questions surrounding third parties in contract law. Specifically, it: considers the privity rule itself; outlines the exceptions to the rule; discusses the impact of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 on the privity rule; and deals with privity of contract under the law of agency.
