Abstract
Colin B. Picker, Heng Wang, and Weihuan Zhou have produced an intellectually stimulating collection on the free trade agreement (FTA) that China and Australia concluded in 2015. Amid rising populist protectionism in the West, evolving Asian regionalism has been of critical importance to world trade law. This book primarily argues that the China-Australia FTA (ChAFTA) signifies more than an extra instrument in the 'noodle bowl' of Asian FTAs. Rather, the ChAFTA serves as 'a 21st century model' for Asia-Pacific trade agreements.
