It also underscores the pivotal role of the board's conduct, elucidating the motivations that drive board members to fulfill their fiduciary duties. Furthermore, the chapter accentuates the unique characteristics of boards in state-owned enterprises. It also identifies research gaps in existing literature and proposes future research directions, underlining the crucial role of the board in corporate governance.
