Abstract

Data security has always been an important area of study by information technology experts and one of the preoccupations of corporate IT departments. With the proliferation of laptops and other mobile devices, and the generation of large amount of data by individuals, corporations and governments, the protection of data has become even more important.

In this podcast, Associate Professor Ding Xuhua from SMU’s School of Information Systems shares his insights on the nature of these cyber threats and how the research undertaken by he and his team can help to counter these threats.
