The year 2023 is marked with rapid growth in AI, opening up new possibilities for research, and accompanied with the emergence of various AI-powered research productivity tools that seek to transform how each phase of the research workflow is carried out.

This roundtable will discuss a matter that has been on many a researcher and academic's mind since AI has emerged into the mainstream consciousness: How will the increasing use of AI in our research workflow affect the quality and evaluation of research work, and the skills of researchers generally?
