Institutional Repository Advisory Committee
Role
- Provide guidance and support for the institutional repository for the purpose of active dissemination and preservation of SMU's intellectual and scholarly works, and institutional records
- Act as advocates for the adoption of the institutional repository by the University and its members, and represent the views of respective constituencies
Terms of Reference
- Actively disseminate and promote the research and scholarly works of SMU
- Champion and develop the SMU institutional repository as a medium for scholarly communications and preservation of institutional knowledge
- Provide inputs on the institutional repository strategy and services including opportunities to synergize internal initiatives and leverage external collaborations
- Contribute insights on the internal and external environment that have implications for the institutional repository
- Validate institutional repository policies and practices
- Promote contribution to and use of the institutional repository by constituent members
