Abstract

This report proposes amendments to the Variation Trusts Act to confer jurisdiction on the High Court to approve consensual variations of trusts where these will benefit beneficiaries who are unable to consent to the variation. This will modernise the legal position in Singapore and make Singapore a more attractive trust jurisdiction.
