Problem Formulation and the Consultant-Client Relationship
Research on problem formulation in organizations is briefly reviewed and the types of biases which may operate in this process are discussed. Decision aids which may facilitate the process are examined. Familiarity with this material could increase OR practitioners' effectiveness and improve the relationship between consultants and clients.
